Strangers on a Train

Cookbook Club
The Lao Kitchen

Discover the rich flavors of Laos through 95 recipes for dips, small plates, rice dishes, fermented foods and salads, laab, noodles, soups and stews, not-too-sweet desserts, and modern twists on traditional recipes. 

Library Trustee Chintana Herrin who organizes this quarterly event, will have several rices that she grew up eating available for tasting and will do a cooking demonstration in addition to the typical potluck format the cookbook club follows.
